About Us
The idea of Freeze-O was born in 2023 after noticing a significant increase in the number of people taking cold water swims in Cape Town after the outbreak of COVID-19. They realised that people were turning to cold water therapy as a way to boost their physical and mental health, especially during a time when gym and spa facilities were closed, and stress levels were at an all time high during that uncertain period.
Taking inspiration from our own cold therapy journeys as well as the likes of popular influencers such as Yes Theory, Wim Hof and Susanna Soberg. We saw the opportunity and decided to create a more convenient and affordable way for people to engage with cold water therapy. We recognised that many people did not have access to a nearby beach, river, or dam that would be at the right temperature to take a cold water plunge. Moreover, people living in warm, land bound cities like Johannesburg may not have access to cold water at all. This led them to create a portable ice pod that can be used anywhere.
While there are other ways to do cold water therapy, such as taking a cold shower or using a small blow-up pool, the Freeze-O is designed with the right materials to keep the temperature regulated and cold for a longer period of time. This is particularly important for athletes and people who are using ice baths for health reasons. With Freeze-O, they can now do cold water therapy anywhere, at any time.
The portable ice Pod is made of high-quality materials that ensure its durability and effectiveness. It is easy to set up and can be used both indoors and outdoors. The design of the Freeze-O is compact, making it easy to store and transport. It can be used in various settings, such as at home, in a park, or even in a gym.
Overall, Freeze-O is a groundbreaking idea that provides an innovative and practical solution to the growing demand for cold water therapy. It is a game-changer for those who seek to improve their physical and mental well-being, regardless of where they live or work. The convenience and affordability of the Freeze-O make it accessible to a wider audience, and it has the potential to revolutionise the way people view and use cold water therapy.
